Vortex Pistol Experience Raises Over $80,000

Categories: Blog, Events, Fundraising, Industry Supporters

The MidwayUSA Foundation recently finished an exciting event at Vortex Edge in Barneveld, Wisconsin. From July 25 to 27, supporters gathered for the Vortex Pistol Experience, a weekend filled with learning, fun, and support for youth shooting sports. Thanks to Vortex Optics for hosting and to sponsors Ruger Firearms, Federal Premium Ammunition, Big Frig, and Walker’s Game Ear for making this event possible.

Together, we raised over $80,000 to help youth shooting teams across the country. These funds will help teams pay for important items like ammunition, safety gear, targets, and competition fees.

Learning and Fun Combined

Guests enjoyed expert pistol training, both in the classroom and on the range, led by the Vortex pro staff. In addition to the training, everyone had a chance to relax and connect through activities like golf, clay shooting, and a distillery tour.

“It was an absolute pleasure to host the MidwayUSA Foundation and their participants,” said Jake Raffel, Vortex Optics Dealer Account Manager. “We always enjoy working with their top-notch staff.”

Supporting the Next Generation

This event helps us carry out our mission of providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. It’s one of the many ways we invest in the future of shooting sports.

“We share a goal with Vortex, Ruger, and Federal to grow the next generation of the outdoor industry,” said Pete Eisentrager, Executive Director of the MidwayUSA Foundation. “Offering experiences like this is very rewarding and only possible with the help of generous sponsors.”
