Join us for a MidwayUSA Foundation Air Gun Training Camp & Competition with Olympians and Elite Coaches at the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Gary Anderson Competition Center in Camp Perry, Ohio.
Immerse yourself in the world of elite marksmanship during this 3-day training camp, November 19-21, 2025. Attendees will gain exclusive access to the minds and methods of champions as Olympians and Elite coaches personalize instruction that will advance your air rifle and pistol skills. Whether you’re a novice wanting to explore the world of international style shooting or a seasoned competitor, this camp is designed to unlock your full potential. Experience a blend of hands-on range sessions, refining your technique at the world-class CMP range, and insightful classroom sessions. Cap off an incredible week with a match and final on Saturday, November 22nd, putting your newly honed skills to the test in competition.

This camp is open to air rifle and pistol athletes of all ages and skill levels (although a basic marksmanship and safety class should be taken before signing up for this training camp).
100% of your donation will benefit the MidwayUSA Foundation youth shooting endowment of your choice, and be matched with current matching programs.
Athlete registration donation: $400 – Limited to 30 athletes
Athlete registration includes the training camp and competition.
Coach registration donation: $175
Coach registration is for adults attending with athletes who want to stay on the range during training. Coach registration allows adults to interact with the Elite Training Coaches during range training and classroom discussions. If you do not register as a coach, you will not be able to stay on the range during this training camp. This registration also allows adults to eat lunch with the athletes.
Match registration only – $50
Match registration is for air rifle or air pistol athletes shooting the Saturday, Nov 22nd match only and does not include attending the training camp.

- James Hall
- James Hall is an internationally distinguished air pistol shooter with roots shooting rifle at Jacksonville State University. He has competed at numerous World Cups, 2 World Championships, was the 2023 Pan American Games Silver medalist, won a gold medal at the 2018 CAT Games, securing a quota for the US at Tokyo in 2020, and competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, placing 10th. Currently, James works as the SSSF Director of Development for the International Disciplines and is the Range Manager for the X-Count Missouri Marksmanship Education Center.
- Tim Schmeltzer
- Tim Schmeltzer is nationally ranked in air pistol, consistently placed within the top five. He began shooting air pistol in 2019 after several years of shooting rifle. He has multiple podium finishes at national matches. Tim has competed in CAT Games, World Cups, and other international matches since 2022. He started coaching for Team Winning Solutions in 2021 in both pistol and rifle disciplines. He also specializes in gunsmithing for the Olympic shooting firearms.

- Chance Cover
- Chance Cover is a veteran of the shooting sports, having started shooting in 2005 on his high school sporter team. He went on to walk-on to the WVU rifle team and was a member of the team for the first two of their 5 consecutive National Championships from 2013-2017. He has also competed at several World Cups for Team USA from 2015 through 2025 while working with the CMP as a summer camp coach and later the summer camp director. He joined TWS in 2022 after moving to Colorado Springs to become a resident athlete and has also taken a job with Midway USA Foundation, where he hopes to continue his own athletic career and influencing the future of youth shooting sports.
- Jeanne Haverhill
- Jeanne Haverhill is an experienced member of Team USA and TWS who spent almost three years in Colorado Springs as a resident athlete for USA Shooting. She started her career in the prone leagues of Pennsylvania, and moved on to become an Akron Zip, and later a national champion with the TCU Horned Frogs in 2023. Jeanne has competed in numerous domestic and international matches with TWS and Team USA, notably winning medals at 2021 Winter Airgun Championships, 2022 Dixie Double, and winning the 2023 Elva Open Super Final and Mixed Team Finals.
- Liz Schmeltzer
- Liz Schmeltzer is a seasoned Olympic rifle athlete with over 14 years of experience. A multiple-time national champion, she has represented the USA internationally in World Cups, World Championships, and many other matches since 2014. Liz competed at the collegiate level for Texas Christian University (TCU), winning multiple Conference and NCAA titles. She started coaching for Team Winning Solutions in 2022. She also enjoys working clinics and camps and helping Coaches learn to help improve their teams.
