Every winning bid is a donation to the youth shooting program of the winner’s choice, and winning contributions will be matched through our current Matching Program. The starting bid on the Weatherby Vanguard with a Vortex Scope is $750. This auction uses an English style of bidding and will end on April 9 at 7 P.M. Eastern. Each bidder must offer a higher price than the last bid to participate. This Volquartsen firearm featured combines features from the Volquartsen Scorpion 22 LR Target Pistol along with the push-button takedown functionality of the Ruger MK IV platform. It all starts with their LLV Competition Upper. It features a stainless steel barrel (with stainless steel breech) housed in an aluminum shroud. This design provides match-grade accuracy in a lightweight package. The integral Picatinny rail on top and bottom is standard. Each Black Mamba features a threaded muzzle with Volquartsen’s single-port comp installed. The Competition Bolt with DLC Coating ensures smooth operation and functioning, whether it’s a day of plinking at the range or competing at the highest level.
The Black Mamba build utilizes a polymer Ruger MK IV 22/45 frame that has been retrofitted with Volquartsen’s Accurizing Kit, providing a crisp, clean 2.25 lb trigger pull. The frame has also been fitted with a magazine release that, when used in conjunction with the Volquartsen magazine base pads (included standard), eliminates feeding issues. This is accomplished by raising the magazine’s position in the frame, allowing the bolt to more positively engage each round as it feeds.
