Meet our team

Meet the team that helps your team!

Randy Moeller

Randy’s background includes extensive outdoor industry experience in sales, marketing and buying…not to mention shooting sports.  Previously with Remington, Randy ran the shooting promotions program and was the Sales Manager for all of the gun club products, including clay targets, target loads, and reloading supplies, nationally.  He was the Director of Competitions for USA Shooting and served as the USA Shooting liaison at the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games in 1996.  His knowledge and background in not-for-profit organizations includes working at the National Rifle Association, USA Shooting and serving on a number of nonprofit Boards.

Randy combines this knowledge with a deep passion for youth shooting sports.  He’s been involved in the shooting sports from the club level to the Olympic movement.  As a self-proclaimed gun club rat, he has been club President for a number of gun clubs across the country and has always helped teach folks about the shooting sports, even leading the award winning Sidney Sharpshooters 4-H trap program while living in Nebraska. Randy is a product of the very teams and groups the MidwayUSA Foundation supports.

He graduated from George Mason University, on a shooting scholarship for trap and skeet and still competes today. He enjoys hunting, particularly chasing waterfowl, and fishing. Randy is especially proud of his daughter, Maddy, who recently headed to St. Louis University to attend Law School.

Jay came to the Foundation from Applied Computational Technologies (ACT), a start-up he co-founded to develop a new dose calculation technology for radiation therapy for the treatment of cancer.  ACT sold its technology to Varian Medical Systems.  Jay started his career in the computer industry, first as a Programmer and then a Computer Systems Engineer with Hewlett-Packard Company (HP).  After HP, Jay transitioned into business operations as the VP/COO of JCM Industries, a grade hardwood lumber and pallet manufacturing company.  Jay has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Science and Business Administration, and a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership.  Jay has been shooting and hunting ever since he was old enough to hold a gun.  In 2002, Jay co-founded a High School smallbore rifle league in Somerset County, PA and began coaching smallbore as a varsity sport in his local school district.  Jay is a Life member of the NRA, an NRA Level 1 Coach in both rifle and pistol, an NRA Instructor in rifle, pistol, and shotgun, and an NRA Range Safety Officer.  In addition to enjoying the shooting sports, Jay can often be found waterskiing with his wife, Nitsa, and their daughter Maria.

Jeff McClureJEFF MCCLURE; PROGRAM MANAGER – WEST  |  573.447.5959

Jeff is on the ground with our shooting teams in the west and manages our fundraising items.  He joined the MidwayUSA Foundation after a successful Army career, serving as an Officer, as well a Defense Analyst.  He has a diverse education, with a BS in Medical Technology/Chemistry from Western Carolina University, an MS in International Relations from Troy State University, and his MBA from Colorado State University. Jeff and his wife Luanne have shipped their boys off to college, where they each wrestle.  The McClure household now consists of Brody the bulldog, Blossom the crazy hound, and Bob the cat.  Jeff is also our resident chef.

Terri DeWittTERRI DEWITT; PROGRAM MANAGER – EAST  |  573.447.5969

Terri DeWitt works with our shooting teams in the East and is our resident shotgun coach, both by resume and choice.  Her shooting career began in the Army, as a member of the Marksmanship Unit, and to say success followed is an understatement.  Terri was a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Shooting Team, is a USA Shooting Shotgun Master Instructor, as well as an NRA Certified Level 3 Shotgun Instructor and her passion for teaching others the sport might outweigh her experience.  A graduate of THE Ohio State University, Terri studied Wildlife Management and is currently working towards a Master of Sport Science. Off the trap field, Terri and husband Bob keep their Rottweiler Mongo and Bulldog Abby well-loved and stir up office rivalries by cheering against the St. Louis Cardinals. We’re also told a White Castle burger eating competition can be added to Terri’s resume.

As her title suggests, Dani takes care of communicating all the great work of the Foundation, as well as creating most of the marketing material.  She is the one that lectures us for using the wrong logo and is allowed to be obsessed with fonts with little judgement.  A graduate of Westminster College, Dani played basketball and studied Business Communications.  Before joining the Foundation, Dani worked in the world of radio as the Creative Director for Learfield Communications, specifically with statewide news networks and the Brownfield Ag Network. Dani and her husband Charley recently welcomed a son, Oliver Liam.  You can often find Dani at a Mizzou tailgate or a county fair.

Mandy Stallo

Mandy wins our ‘attention to detail’ title at the office.  She knows our database inside and out, takes care of ensuring our generous donations get to the right place and is also queen of grants twice per year. Mandy is one of the veterans on staff, working on year five.  She joined the Foundation after working as a Recreation Specialist with JC Parks and Recreation in her hometown of Jefferson City.  She graduated with her BS in Business Marketing from William Woods University, where she also golfed.  If she isn’t hitting the links with her husband, she is chasing around their sassy daughter, Finley Grace.  Mandy claims to not be quite as OCD as people may think, she just happens to love organization and order… ‘you’re welcome, coworkers.’  We appreciate it Mandy!

Heather LawsHEATHER LAWS; PROGRAM COORDINATOR  |  573.447.5957 ext 2178

As Mandy’s sidekick, Heather is also queen of grants twice per year and helps us keep our database in order.  Knowing Heather’s sweet personality, it is no surprise she did social work before joining us.  Though we’re based in Mizzou country, Heather is our only University of Missouri graduate. She studied Psychology and Sociology.  She likes to bake, garden, cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals and is our resident movie buff.  Along with her husband (Tim) and son (Elijah), two corgis, Yadi and Liberty, make up the Laws family.   Heather also wins our ‘rookie of the year’ award on the trap field!

Jan RuessJAN RUESS; CONTROLLER  |  573.447.5957 ext 2144

As our Controller, Jan is all things numbers here at the Foundation and has been for four years.  She has her Bachelors in Accounting and her Master’s in Business Administration, both from the University of Tennessee.  Jan is no stranger to the nonprofit world, being with another Columbia based nonprofit for 12 years prior to joining the MidwayUSA Foundation.  She has over 20 years of experience in corporate accounting.  Jan has a passion for animals and shares her 11-acre property with Allie, a rescue German Shepherd.  When Jan isn’t loving on Allie, she is loving on 3 awesome grandkids, hitting up the gym, reading, or cooking.  Jan is also currently enjoying learning clay target shooting.

Kristin ThompsonKRISTIN THOMPSON; ACCOUNTANT  |  573.447.5957 ext 2139

Monika HuenefeldtMONIKA HUENEFELDT; HR COORDINATOR/ADMIN ASSISTANT  |  573.447.5957 ext 4701

She has her BS in Criminal Justice Administration with minors in Psychology and Sociology.  Monika is hoping to complete her first marathon in May so when she isn’t training for that she is keeping up with her Brady Bunch-ish family, which now includes a new Cavalier King Charles pup named Ollie.  She also serves as a Fundraising Committee Chair for a local Boy Scout Troop.
